Internship Software Engineer - Unpaid

SideKix HQ Inc. is a mobile app company that aims to empower individuals to plan and grow their businesses through AI guidance and community support. They are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer intern to help build and scale their product and technology, taking ownership of architecture, development, and platform evolution.

Responsibilities:

• Partner on product vision and execution
• Build and scale SideKix from MVP forward
• Architect and deploy infrastructure across React, Node.js, Firebase, Google APIs and AWS
• Design and implement gamification systems that drive engagement and retention
• Automate app maintenance, release cycles and bug fixes for reliability and scale
• Analytics, Data gathering, governance, security and compliance
• Build and improve Wordpress websites
• Lead post-launch improvements using real user data and feedback
• Dashboard design and creation
• Manage performance monitoring, crash reporting, and security
• Optimize hosting and backend systems for performance and cost
• Write clean, maintainable code with documentation that lasts

Requirements:

• Experience in full-stack or Front end development
• Comfortable switching between code, strategy and leadership
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, mobile frameworks, APIs and payments
• Passion for AI-driven personalization and human-centered design
• Familiarity with Figma and analytics tools a huge plus
