Job Title: Anaplan Model Builder
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-Site, with hybrid model)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Model Builder with strong finance domain expertise to design, develop, and support enterprise-level planning and consolidation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in multi-dimensional modeling, Anaplan New UX, and financial planning systems, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable Anaplan models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain complex Anaplan models for planning and consolidation use cases
- Configure and manage lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and model settings
- Develop and enhance Anaplan New UX (Pages, Apps, Reports)
- Translate Excel-based financial models into Anaplan multi-dimensional structures
- Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Ensure model scalability, performance optimization, and best practices
- Support data integration workflows between Anaplan and external systems
- Participate in SDLC phases: requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
- Provide ongoing production support and enhancements
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Anaplan development & modeling
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or consolidation
- 3+ years experience with Anaplan New UX (Pages, Apps, Reporting)
- Deep understanding of multi-dimensional data modeling concepts
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, modeling)
- Experience with data integration tools/APIs (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Anaplan Connect)
- Solid understanding of financial systems and business processes
- Experience working across full SDLC lifecycle
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Level 2/3)
- Experience in FP&A, Supply Chain, or Workforce Planning
- Exposure to cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
