SKAN US, Inc. is a world leader in pharmaceutical isolators, and they are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. The role involves supporting the commissioning of SKAN equipment, troubleshooting customer issues, and maintaining automation test equipment, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the commissioning of SKAN equipment (Including I/O check, finetuning, debugging and Qualification tasks
- Code and APC backup/restore, according SKAN process
- Experience with Virtual Machines
- Support for customer service support organization
- Supporting trouble shooting at customer side
- Trouble shooting as remote support
- Monitoring the Automation Service email inbox
- Creating and delegating automation service tickets
- Maintaining and operating the automation test equipment in the office
- Traveling time 50 – 75 %
- Handle all Microsoft standard applications (Word, Excel, PP, Visio, etc.)

- Siemens S7/TIA
- Zenon knowledge is a plus
- Basic SQL Database Management knowledge is a plus
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor degree in Automation/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of German is a plus
- At least 1-2 years work with Allen Bradley tools or Siemens
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 15 – 25 pounds
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed, which may involve extended periods of walking or standing
- Capable of occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching while working on machinery or automation systems
