They are seeking a fractional Senior Full-Stack Engineer to stabilize and enhance their existing codebase, providing technical guidance and mentoring to the development team.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and understand the existing EduQuencher application architecture and codebase
- Implement targeted, high‑impact changes and improvements
- Provide senior‑level technical guidance and decision‑making support to the development team
- Collaborate with offshore engineers to improve code quality, clarity, and execution efficiency
- Mentor developers through code reviews, technical feedback, and best‑practice guidance
- Improve documentation, knowledge transfer, and onboarding clarity to reduce dependency on individuals
- Balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution to support ongoing technical needs
- Help establish clearer ownership, standards, and processes that enable faster and safer iteration
Requirements:
- Experience working in early‑stage or fast‑moving startup environments
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a bias toward practical, impact‑driven solutions
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fractional / 1099 contract role
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Full-Stack Development
- Experience with Front-End Development technologies and frameworks
- Strong skills in Software Development and problem-solving
- Knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and responsive design principles
- Ability to collaborate remotely and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
- Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, application scalability, and RESTful API design is a plus
