Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare, and they are seeking an experienced Account Manager for their Smart Infrastructure Systems Portfolio in the industrial power market. The role involves building strong customer relationships and developing sales strategies for industrial end-users, utilities, and contractors in the Western US, specifically focusing on switchgear and power distribution equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong customer relationships while continuing a track record of success in winning Switchgear projects with industrial end-users, utilities, and industrial contractors/EPCs in the Western US
- Report to the West Region Sales Director and have a strong background in power distribution equipment / switchgear sales for Industrial Power and Utility applications
- Grow business with an assigned account base while developing and delivering sales strategies for those assigned accounts in coordination with other Siemens sales teams in the territory
- Employ Siemens’ global reach to impact decisions on projects that deliver solutions to U.S. customers
- Guide the development and execution of strategic account plans for industrial and utility customers to ensure the achievement of assigned business goals
- Build collaborative project capture account teams and coordinate team activities
- Bring industry expertise for guiding customer planning and budgeting on both product and electrical system sales
Requirements:
- 5+ years of successful sales of Industrial Transmission & Distribution applications with Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear, Panel Boards, and Switchboards with a proven record of delivering revenue and closing orders at key accounts
- Ability to travel up to 50%, primarily throughout Arizona
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid U.S. driver's license with limited violations
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Strong background in power distribution equipment / switchgear sales for Industrial Power and Utility applications
- Expertise in selling medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and motor control centers, transformers, and power automation solutions
- A solid working knowledge of how Industrial Microgrids work and how the Siemens Smart Gear value proposition enhances the electrical distribution power systems
- Excellent Account Management skills
- Prior success working within a matrix organization and across multiple departments to win large, complex power projects
- Ability to effectively sell at several levels within a customer's organization, including engineering, purchasing, operations, maintenance, plant management, and corporate executives
- Engineering degree preferred
- 5+ years' experience in Rare Earth Element Mining industry
- Strong Customer Relationships with Industrial Harsh Duty / Heavy Process sites and/or Utility sites
