Cotiviti is seeking an AI & Automation Intern to assist in designing and implementing AI-driven solutions for their products. The role involves developing prototypes, supporting integration of AI services, and collaborating with teams to improve efficiency and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering AI and automation initiatives across products, platforms, and internal tools
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using AI/ML, generative AI, or automation frameworks
- Support integration of AI services (e.g., LLMs, chatbots, intelligent workflows) into existing products
- Work with structured and unstructured data for analysis, transformation, and automation use cases
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and enhance automation workflows using scripting, APIs, and low-code/no-code platforms where applicable
- Learn and apply prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI safety best practices
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation following established standards
- Assist in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting AI and automation solutions
- Support deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI-driven features
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Student working towards a higher degree in Computer Science; Master's preferred with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong performance in programming courses, database design and programming
- Experience and knowledge of ETL, Databases, UI programming specifically Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS ETL,.NET (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET), TSQL
- Deep interest and some experience in technologies such as NoSQL, Mongo Hadoop, Hive, Spark
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, generative AI, or automation tools (academic or personal projects acceptable)
- Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in development and production environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to mediate and resolve conflicts between teams using strong emotional intelligence, active listening, and effective communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines through exceptional short- and long-term planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
