Arist is an agent-first workforce enablement platform that delivers learning through existing employee channels. The Staff Product Engineer will own critical parts of the system, focusing on building the employee profile graph pipeline and leading architecture decisions for the agent execution layer.
Responsibilities:
- Help design and and build the employee profile graph pipeline: ingesting, normalizing, and enriching data from HRIS, CRM, LMS, Microsoft Graph, and other enterprise systems
- Build product that makes use of the employee profile graph pipeline like talent intelligence signals for leadership, or individualized enablement workstreams deployable at once based on intersection of company/team goals and individual performance gaps
- Help lead architecture decisions for the agent execution layer — how agents plan, execute, check in, and respond to new signals
- Own reliability and observability for these systems customers depend on every day
- Work closely with product and design on the full object model, from data ingestion through intervention delivery
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful time at Staff level or equivalent scope
- Deep backend systems experience — you've built and operated distributed systems that process and move data at scale
- Strong opinions about data modeling and API design, held with appropriate humility
- Experience integrating with enterprise identity and data systems (HRIS, CRM, SSO, Microsoft/Google ecosystems)
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action over analysis
- Experience building agents and AI-native product systems
- Background in enterprise SaaS with complex integration requirements
- You've been the person who set the technical direction, and led a team to get there, not just executed it
- You've worked at a company between 50–200 people and know what it means to build for scale before you're there
