POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance employee oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment and assists the facilities manager in an effort to assure complete maintenance and proper repair of all facility and material handling equipment in a cost-efficient manner.

This position has MHE and building responsibilities – the applicant should possess a wide range of skills including high and low voltage, AC/DC voltage, HVAC, variable frequency drives and advanced trouble shooting skills across a wide range of equipment.
The applicant must also be:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. 1+ years of experience repairing Crown forklifts a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver's License, Ammonia Technician I Certification (or ability to earn within a reasonable time frame as determined by management), Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) or Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) through RETA (or ability to earn within a reasonable time frame as determined by management, HAZOPER 8 and HAZWOPER 24 HR Emergency training, Must be able to be respirator certified
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the job duties, the employee is occasionally or frequently exposed to extreme cold in the coolers or freezer. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and ammonia refrigeration systems.
