As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a critical role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and complex medical or behavioral needs—helping them live healthier, more independent lives.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will provide hands-on nursing care, clinical oversight, and training to ensure the highest level of health and safety for the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial medical assessments and support intake/admissions decisions
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians
• Monitor and update nursing care plans and medical documentation
• Administer medications and ensure accurate medication records
• Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Attend medical appointments as needed
• Support individuals with chronic or high-risk medical conditions
• Promote preventative care, health education, and overall wellness
• Provide medical skills training to staff, caregivers, and families
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and team meetings as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
• Active RN license in Maryland
• At least 1 year of experience working with medically complex individuals preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (if transporting individuals)
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Delegating Nurse experience highly preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Role may involve travel within the community
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and perform physical tasks (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
• Exposure to medical environments, including potential contact with blood or bodily fluids
