Senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Automation Engineer

Largeton Group is seeking a Senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Automation Engineer. The role involves deploying and configuring VMware Cloud Foundation components, troubleshooting deployment issues, and collaborating with customer technical teams in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 components, including management domains, vSAN, workload domains, and NSX
• Implement build plans, network/storage policies, and validate integration points using automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, escalating when necessary
• Work closely with Architects to ensure alignment with design specifications
• Document configurations, runbooks, operational procedures, and provide “as-built” documentation for customer handoff
• Deliver knowledge transfer and support to customer teams during initial and ongoing operations (Day-1/Day-2)
• Collaborate directly with customer technical teams in a professional services or consulting environment
• Execute build plans from architecture specs utilizing automation and scripting
• Perform post-deployment validation, testing, and optimization
• Diagnose issues through log analysis and root cause identification
• Maintain strong technical skills in vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager
• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in customer-facing engagements
