They are seeking a Project Manager to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives focused on statewide interoperability and population health data exchange, ensuring compliance with Medicaid program objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate workstreams across state agencies, technical vendors, and program stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and ensure timely delivery of milestones
- Support communication and coordination among multiple project managers and stakeholders across agencies
- Provide clear, consistent updates to leadership and partner organizations regarding project status, risks, and dependencies
- Lead business requirements gathering sessions with Medicaid program staff, HIEA teams, SAS, and other stakeholders
- Translate business needs into actionable requirements that drive HIE initiatives and population health data improvements
- Document workflows, data needs, and functional requirements to support interoperability and Medicaid program enhancements
- Support Projects Involving Population Health Data, Including LOINC (Laboratory data), ICD‑10 (Diagnosis coding), ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer data)
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and alignment with Medicaid reporting and analytics needs
- Assist in evaluating data exchange processes and recommending improvements
- Ensure project activities comply with state and federal Medicaid regulations and HIE participation mandates
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership, oversight bodies, and legislative stakeholders
- Track performance metrics and support continuous improvement efforts across HIE and Medicaid initiatives
- Identify risks, issues, and barriers across multi‑agency projects and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor vendor and partner performance, ensuring deliverables meet contractual and program expectations
Requirements:
- Medicaid experience is required, preferably within state government or a large healthcare organization
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7 years of project management experience in healthcare, government, or IT
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders, including DHHS divisions and SAS
- Experience with population health data standards (LOINC, ICD‑10, ADT)
- Strong Skills In Business Requirements Gathering And Documentation
- Proficiency with ASANA and familiarity with JIRA
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Experience with health information exchange (HIE) operations or interoperability initiatives
- Understanding of healthcare data standards, data integration, and analytics
- PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification
- Experience working with technical vendors and cross‑functional teams in a government environment
