Co-Founder

Thesis Machine Learning is building a Thematic Intelligence Platform to enhance thematic product ecosystems for index providers. They are seeking a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer to lead the technical vision and execution, focusing on product development, engineering standards, and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical vision, architecture, and delivery roadmap across data infrastructure, machine learning systems, application architecture, and client-facing product delivery
• Lead product development and engineering execution across backend systems, APIs, automation, model infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and quality assurance
• Build and scale the core platform, including data ingestion, data integrity controls, processing pipelines, feature development, model training and selection workflows, inference pipelines, index calculation, and publishing systems
• Establish production controls around validation, testing, observability, incident response, reproducibility, version control, release management, security, and auditability
• Define and evolve the company’s stack and infrastructure strategy across cloud, storage, compute, orchestration, and deployment environments
• Build, lead, and mentor the engineering team over time, while setting a high bar for quality, maintainability, pragmatism, and speed
• Work with the CEO and broader leadership team on company priorities including fundraising support, strategic planning, technical recruiting, and long-term product expansion
• Partner with leadership to clarify ownership boundaries between Product and Engineering, while ensuring technical feasibility, delivery discipline, and roadmap alignment
• Support long-term defensibility of the platform, including technical process design, infrastructure scalability, data and model governance, and intellectual property strategy
