Imagine Pediatrics is a tech enabled, pediatrician led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. As Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead software engineering teams to deliver innovative tech solutions that enhance pediatric healthcare, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and mentor 1–2 teams of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Facilitate the execution of our technical roadmap with a focus on data-driven decisions, timely and iterative product development, simplicity, and value delivery
- Continually support the growth and development of engineers on the team by providing timely and constructive feedback
- Support the growth and development of peers inside technology through collaboration, mentorship, and feedback
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements; estimate product scopes and timelines
- Collaborate with team to contribute to technical solutions that satisfy business requirements with a focus on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability and extensibility
Requirements:
- 9+ years of software development experience; 5+ years of experience managing engineers
- Prior experience at a hypergrowth company required; healthcare experience preferred
- Experience managing teams that have purview across a cloud-based tech stack (AWS preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated history of working asynchronously and remotely with clear and candid communication
- A continual drive to clear the path for your team so that they can do their best work; comfortable jumping into unfamiliar territories to achieve this goal
- Passion for developing engineers in a full range of professional skills; experience developing peers or managing managers preferred
- Ability to maintain a healthy balance between speed to proof-of-concept and robust, ideal systems
- Experience driving organization-wide initiatives to improve outcomes in engineering
- Experience in using AI for technical and organizational transformation
