As the Workplace Design Manager, you will lead the design and planning of global workplace environments, ensuring they enhance customer experience and promote employee productivity. You will work with various design teams and utilize data to optimize workplace strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and have oversight of the design and planning of global workplace environments for Stryker
- Leverage internal and external design partners to deliver workplaces that enhance customer experience, promote employee productivity and engagement, and optimize costs
- Support the development and execution of Stryker’s global workplace design strategy to foster a flexible, inclusive, and agile work culture
- Support design projects from concept to post-occupancy evaluation across multiple global locations, ensuring alignment with the Stryker Workplace Design Guidelines
- Direct internal and external design teams to deliver innovative, purpose-driven workspaces that align with brand, values, and business goals
- Use data from surveys, workplace studies, and analytics to guide design decisions and continuously optimize space utilization
- Promote agile work environments and space-sharing concepts, supporting employees diverse work styles (remote, hybrid, on-site)
- Implement agile design principles that allow spaces to be easily reconfigured based on changing needs or organizational shifts
- Work with Stryker Real Estate & Facilities team to monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and track the success of workplace initiatives
- Support change management efforts, guiding employees through transitions to new work environments
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is in in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, or a related field is required for this role
- 8+ years' of experience in workplace design, corporate real estate, or facilities management is required for this role
- 4+ years' of designing and implementing activity-based and flexible work environments is needed to be a qualified applicant for this role
- 4+ years' of experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex, global projects
- 4+ years' of experience with workplace analytics and using data to inform design decisions
- Relevant industry certifications or licenses (e.g., LEED, WELL, NCIDQ)
- Experience leading change management initiatives related to workspace transformation
- A Master's degree is preferred
