The Business Analyst is responsible for managing and controlling asset management activities, requirements, and configuration documentation across the Enterprise, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of configuration items and knowledge assets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control enterprise asset management and configuration management activities for software, hardware, systems, and related components
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive Configuration Management Plan outlining procedures, processes, workflows, and tools
- Identify, define, and manage configuration items (CIs), ensuring each item is uniquely identified, properly documented, and accurately tracked
- Maintain version control for software code, documentation, configurations, and related artifacts to prevent conflicts and preserve accurate historical records
- Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, user manuals, and configuration records
- Oversee knowledge management activities, including the capture, organization, sharing, and accessibility of knowledge assets and documentation within SharePoint
- Manage SharePoint access controls, permission levels, governance processes, and internal controls to protect knowledge assets
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the use, organization, and accessibility of contract knowledge assets
- Develop and manage disaster recovery planning for knowledge management systems, including recovery time objectives (RTO), to ensure continuity and protection of information assets
- Support process improvement initiatives, including workflow automation and configuration management enhancements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with two years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of service organization and call center operations supporting 24x7x365 environments
- Experience supporting a federal customer
- Experience supporting a government IT organization
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, industry standards, and best practices
- Familiarity with Salesforce and experience supporting process or workflow automation
- Experience managing documentation repositories and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required
- Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required
- Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required
- Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms
- This position requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from, as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home.) Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable
- Salesforce Business Process Analyst certification a plus
- ITIL4 Certification
