Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Market Data Business Analyst / Data Analyst to support initiatives within a market data and security master environment. The role involves analyzing market data systems, documenting data and system flows, and designing scalable solutions across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document market data systems and data flows, particularly within a Security Master environment
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into structured documentation
- Create detailed process flows, system diagrams, and data mapping documentation
- Evaluate and analyze data sourced from platforms such as:
- Bloomberg
- FactSet
- LSEG / Refinitiv
- Support system enhancement initiatives by identifying gaps and recommending improvements
- Assist in designing solutions within a data-centric systems environment
- Ensure clarity and traceability between business requirements, data flows, and technical implementation
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, presenting findings and documentation clearly
Requirements:
- Experience working with market data platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG/Refinitiv)
- Understanding of market data within a Security Master framework
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Systems Analyst in a data-heavy environment
- Strong ability to document: Data flows, System flows, Process diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.)
- Experience gathering and structuring requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to self-manage and work independently
- Strong systems-thinking mindset
- Comfortable operating between business and technical teams
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Professional presence; communicates clearly and confidently
- Self-directed and proactive (“bar raiser” mentality)
