Lead Business Intelligence Engineer

Centene Corporation is a diversified national organization focused on improving health outcomes through technology. The Lead Business Intelligence Engineer will lead technical efforts to create enterprise-class data assets that provide business insights and support decision-making, overseeing the development of BI solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to fulfill strategic business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the development efforts of BI solution architecture that accurately translates business requirements to technology solutions and ensures the design will meet business requirements throughout the lifecycle of a change
• Leads the day-to-day activities related to defining architecture, establishing infrastructure, and implementing standards used to create frameworks/patterns for delivering business intelligence solutions
• Oversees the technical execution of business analysis activities to enable technology solutions that adequately fulfill strategic business needs and objectives
• Delivers complex and extensive project setups, analysis, data flows, designs (wireframes/mock-up), etc., for and in partnership with customers
• Leads the execution of long-term strategic goals for business intelligence development in conjunction with end users, management, customers, and other stakeholders
• Conducts extensive research and makes expert recommendations on business intelligence products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
• Performs and oversees complex and difficult programming, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup/support
• Provides expert, timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution
• Expertly leads the implementation of the business intelligence architecture as a core asset at Centene
• Collaborates with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management, process efficiency with respect to data and delivery
• Collaborates with both Enterprise Architecture (EA) and EDAS Solutions Architecture on the solution/service design to ensure it conforms to enterprise architectural standards and future roadmaps
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
• 5 – 7 years of related experience
• Expertise in leading technical efforts to create Enterprise-class data assets
• Ability to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses
• Experience in leading the development efforts of BI solution architecture
• Experience in defining architecture, establishing infrastructure, and implementing standards for business intelligence solutions
• Ability to oversee technical execution of business analysis activities
• Experience in delivering complex project setups, analysis, data flows, designs
• Ability to conduct extensive research and make expert recommendations on business intelligence products
• Experience in performing and overseeing complex programming, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup/support
• Ability to provide expert communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users
