eTeam is a company focused on providing security solutions, and they are seeking a Security Engagement Engineer to enable key business initiatives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that security and privacy requirements align with business goals and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote security and privacy through collaboration with product, strategy, and engineering teams
- Work closely with teams to understand business priorities and strategy
- Review solution designs and identify opportunities for security integration
- Define and assign risk-based security and privacy requirements to project teams
- Ensure security throughout all phases of the lifecycle—from requirements gathering to design, implementation, and validation
- Work with project teams to identify and mitigate security and privacy risks
- Lead discussions on balancing security requirements with cost and feasibility
- Maintain status of assigned security and privacy requirements, including risks and exceptions
- Negotiate security and privacy requirements with vendors and influence product selection
- Identify emerging security trends and align them with future needs of project teams
- Establish functional goals to improve security and privacy operations and drive teams toward achieving those goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 3 years in security architecture, operations, design, or development
- Experience across multiple security domains: data protection, IT risk, network security, application security, security operations, remote access technologies, and identity and access management
- Operational experience: change management, incident management, configuration management, and vulnerability management
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize effectively
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar
- Big Four consulting or Fortune 500 company experience
- Telecom/Cable industry experience
- Knowledge of IT and security frameworks, such as NIST or CIS
- Experience with public cloud and container security architecture and solutions
- Experience integrating security with agile development teams
