We have an 8 week, remote project for someone who has experience with Workstream Communications to migrate from debit card provider to another.
Strategic Planning & Management
5+ Years in Communications or Marketing: Specifically within the financial services sector (Credit Unions or Community Banks preferred).
Card Conversion or Migration Experience: Proven track record of managing communications for a card brand flip or core system conversion.
Merger & Acquisition (M&A) History: Experience navigating the sensitivities of merging two distinct organizational cultures and member bases.
Portfolio of Work: Ability to provide samples of member-facing letters, FAQs, and digital content that simplify complex technical or financial transitions.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strategic Sequencing: Mastery of communication "cadence"-knowing exactly when to send a "Save the Date" vs. a "Last Call" reminder to minimize member panic.
Change Management Communication: Skill in framing "forced" changes (like a new card) as an "upgrade" rather than an "inconvenience."
Crisis Management & Empathy: Ability to anticipate "friction points" (e.g., card activation delays, PIN changes) and draft proactive messaging to mitigate support volume.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency in tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com to track the 8-week timeline and milestone completion.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
Financial Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of regulations governing member notifications (e.g., Regulation E or truth-in-savings requirements) to ensure content is compliant.
Digital Content Systems: Experience working with website CMS platforms and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or HubSpot).
Multichannel Execution: Ability to adapt a single message across different formats, from a formal physical letter to a 280-character social post.
Education & Certification (Optional but Preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Business.
Certifications: Professional certifications like the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) or PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) are strong indicators of quality.
Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
