General Labor/Springdale Quarry

Rogers Group is seeking a GENERAL LABORER for our quarry located in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate for this role will be able to complete a variety of labor and operation tasks in the quarry and crushing plant. This individual will be responsible for plant maintenance and clean-up, and supporting various other production duties. Must have a strong commitment to safety excellence. 

Job Responsibilities:

• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations.
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
• Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines.
• Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable.
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned.
• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions.
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Plant maintenance experience is a plus.
• Experience with aggregate operations is a plus.
