VP, Engineering Services

ACT Power Services is dedicated to providing industry-leading services for clients in the renewable operations sector. The VP of Engineering Services will lead the development of Engineering and Operational Technology services, focusing on improving performance and revenue for Solar and BESS assets while managing team utilization and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Organization
• Design and scale Engineering Services team structure
• Recruit and mature teams subject matter experts
• Establish culture of technical excellence and accountability
• Own all complex technical scopes: SCADA, OT, performance engineering, modeling
• Standardize engineering methodologies and deliverables
• Ensure consistency and quality across all projects
• Implement intake, prioritization, and delivery processes
• Define SLAs between Engineering Services and Portfolio teams
• Drive utilization and efficiency metrics
• Partner with: Portfolio Management (client interface)
• Field Operations (execution)
• Commercial team (scope development)
• Serve as senior technical authority for the organization
• Develop new service offerings (optimization, analytics, etc.)
• Identify opportunities to monetize engineering capabilities
• Drive adoption of advanced tools and platforms

Requirements:

• 12–15+ years in solar, power, or related infrastructure
• PE or ability to license preferred
• Deep experience in at least one: SCADA / controls, Performance engineering, Power systems engineering
• Proven leadership of technical teams
• Experience scaling engineering or services organizations
• Strong commercial awareness (not purely academic)
