GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for ensuring that charges are entered correctly, insurance claims are processed in an accurate and timely manner, and that claims are paid accurately. The PAR will accept patient payments and assist patients with any billing questions and will provide support to Patient Services Representatives.

In addition, this position requires:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years medical office experience
- None required
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Great interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient in use of computer and keyboard
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Problem solving skills
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Able to push, pull and reach, sit, stoop and stretch
- Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a computer, telephone, copier, etc.
