NSC Global is seeking a highly skilled and proactive HR Business Partner to join their dynamic team on a part-time basis. This role will act as a strategic partner to the business, providing expert HR guidance and support while managing the employment lifecycle in compliance with German and Dutch labor law.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the drafting, adjustment, and legal review of all employment contracts, including specialized fixed-term agreements and international secondments
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for legislative changes, ensuring all HR guidelines and company policies remain in strict compliance with current labor laws
- Provide expert advice to department heads on rights and obligations during the employment relationship, including the management of performance warnings and disciplinary actions
- Lead the execution of layoffs and the negotiation of termination agreements to minimize organizational risk
- Partner with legal counsel to represent the company in labor law litigation and defend against wrongful termination lawsuits
- Manage the issuance of employment references and the enforcement of post-termination non-competition clauses
- Navigate co-determination and participation rights. Negotiate company agreements and manage dispute resolution processes with the Works Council
- Support or lead negotiations with unions and employer associations regarding wages, hours, and leave entitlements
- Advise on the legal prerequisites and operational limits of labor disputes and industrial actions
- Provide labor law guidance during company acquisitions, sales, or internal group transfers
- Manage the legal frameworks for external and flexible personnel deployment, cross-border employment, and temporary work arrangements
- Design and implement personnel reduction strategies, ensuring all social and legal impacts are mitigated
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources (with a focus on Labor Law)
- Extensive experience in German & Dutch Labor Law and European Social Law is essential
- Proven ability to maintain constructive relationships with Works Councils and union representatives
- Experience managing personnel strategies within a corporate group or during M&A activities
- Ability to translate complex labor statutes into practical HR operations
- High level of diplomacy and firmness in collective bargaining and termination negotiations
- A proactive approach to identifying legal vulnerabilities in HR processes
