Job Summary

Our Client is hiring an experienced Telecom Designer for a 6 12 month hourly contract-to-hire role. You'll handle end-to-end telecom design for company-wide projects, from initial assessments to construction oversight, ensuring everything aligns with Client's standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects independently or guide support staff, providing cross-team assistance.

• Create detailed drawing packages: site/floor plans, comm room layouts, rack elevations, backbone schematics, and infrastructure details.

• Handle Division 27 & 28 systems specs, cable pathway fill calculations, and cost estimates.

• Coordinate designs with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and hardware teams.

• Perform field surveys during all project phases and verify code compliance.

• Collaborate in BIM environments using Revit/Navisworks, work with modelers, and support RFIs/submittals.

• Act as a company-wide technical expert in team settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).

• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.

• 3+ years as an RCDD.

• Proficient in Revit, evizto, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.

• Strong knowledge of comms system design.
