Job location
This position is located at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) in Clifton Hill, 15 minutes from Melbourne’s city centre. CFMHS is a specialist state-wide agency that works with individuals who have a serious mental health illness and have offended or are at risk of offending. Our CFMHS Service is expanding our services to Regional Victoria with Barwon and Hume services established.
About the Role:
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the clinical team and senior management clients of the Community Forensic Mental Health Service, in addition to a professional and confidential reception service to the clients.
Duties:
• Ensuring completed reports, and other general reports are sent accordingly in a timely matter.
• Maintain an efficient office information filing system.
• Assist in archiving of corporate records
• Typing general correspondence, appointment letters and notification letters to stakeholders
• Enter patient and other data onto information systems
• Provide assistance to the Community Administration Manager and Service Coordinator to undertake specific projects as required.
• Maintain databases including PMI, CMI/Rapid.
About You:
• Appropriate experience and demonstrated ability to provide a professional and confidential reception service, including the use of a PABX telephone system.
• An understanding of the legal framework, court system, and legislation as it relates to Forensicare.
• An understanding of the structure and service provision of Forensicare.
• Advanced word processing, spreadsheet and Email skills, with a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
• Ability to deal with a challenging client group in a non-judgemental manner.
