Senior Electrical Engineer - MEP - Remote

Plan B Climatech is a growing, forward-thinking firm specializing in electrical design and construction support services. They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design, oversee 3D coordination, and mentor junior team members in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical system design for commercial and industrial projects
• Oversee and perform 3D coordination and clash detection using BIM tools
• Develop and review detailed shop drawings for field installation
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
• Support project planning, scheduling, and execution
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or construction support
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
• Extensive experience with electrical systems design and field coordination
• Deep understanding of commercial and/or industrial construction projects
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience in assistant project management (APM) or project leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of NEC and other relevant electrical codes
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team
