Largeton Group is seeking a Network Engineer to support their enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems while collaborating with various teams for optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure (LANs, WANs, WLAN, SDWAN, Firewalls, VPN, etc.)
- Collaborate with managed service provider engineering teams for network device configuration and installation
- Participate in project implementation teams, ensuring alignment with defined architectures, policies, and standards
- Provide Level 2/3 network support and troubleshooting during and after implementations
- Adhere to ITSM procedures, ensuring proper change management and documentation (including knowledge base articles)
- Liaise between vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution
- Document network infrastructure, create “as-built” configurations, and train operations teams
- Support digital manufacturing and plant engineering teams in securing OT environments
- Collaborate with IT Security/Cyber Security teams on network access controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior IT leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and the OSI/TCP-IP model
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, load balancers
- Understanding of cloud networking, especially AWS
- Experience with network diagnostic/monitoring tools
- Demonstrated success with LAN, SDWAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and VPC design/implementation
- Knowledge of VoIP systems and network security best practices
- Experience with network capacity planning and management
- Strong prioritization and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
