LIMS Software Engineer - Remote

Kforce Inc is working with a well-known client in search of a LIMS Software Engineer to join their team. In this role, the LIMS Software Engineer will work with a cloud-based enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), assisting with configuration, reporting, and development tasks while collaborating with technical and scientific teams.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for system issues, troubleshooting and escalating as needed
• Assist with configuration and testing within StarLIMS v12 environments
• Support development of reports and dashboards using tools like Crystal - Reports and Advanced Analytics
• Collaborate with analysts and senior engineers to translate user requests into technical solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage tasks in Jira and Confluence

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or databases
• Familiarity with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with StarLIMS or other LIMS platforms
• Knowledge of scripting languages, HTML, or JavaScript
• Experience creating dashboards or reports in tools like Crystal Reports
• Exposure to laboratory workflows or regulated environments
