Town Supply Company is a premier distributor of Commercial Doors, Frames & Architectural Hardware, and they are hiring a remote Project Manager. The role involves managing the complete submittal process for assigned projects, overseeing material ordering, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Manage job costs, schedules, and execution of multiple projects ensuring project goals and client expectations are met
- Interpret architectural specifications and blueprints; prepare accurate take-offs, bids, and formal proposals
- Review proposals and participate in bid reviews/descope meetings
- Consistently convert a healthy percentage of quotes into orders and support overall company profitability
- Communicate with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle—answer questions, negotiate terms, manage changes, and maintain strong relationships
- Develop and revise shop drawings and submittals to ensure documentation stays updated with project changes
- Manage order entry within our software systems and coordinate with the Operations Manager for scheduling, shop work, and deliveries
- Order materials through vendor and manufacturer software, secure cost advantages when possible, and complete required machining sheets
- Coordinate vendor orders and collaborate with other team members as needed to further understand company policy and procedures
- Ensure accurate contract oversight, change order management, and invoicing accuracy; work with accounting teams to resolve invoicing or payment issues
- Maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and coworkers
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial door and hardware industry
- Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and industry codes
- In-depth product knowledge and understanding of how hardware components interact and function
- Working knowledge of Life Safety Codes, ADA requirements and any other code affecting our industry
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with ERP and vendor ordering software
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and achieve performance goals, including meeting deadlines and maintaining strong communication
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results with a dedicated and solution-driven mindset
- Familiarity with Submittal software Aveware or something similar is preferred
- Experience using order entry software Navision and similar contract ERP software system is also preferred but not required
