Lockheed Martin Space is a leader in aerospace innovation, aiming to harness the full potential of space for security and technology advancement. They are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer Sr. to support the Common Software Framework team, focusing on software systems engineering for Directed Energy programs and laser system control.
Responsibilities:
- Lead software systems documentation
- Review charts
- Develop embedded software
- Work closely with systems engineers
- Ensure that embedded flight software meets stringent aerospace standards for performance, safety, and reliability
- Support various Directed Energy programs as well as programs requiring laser system control
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or other related degree program from an accredited college/university
- Experience with SW Systems engineering
- Experience with directed energy or other laser systems
- Experience with various review events (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)
- Experience managing and verifying requirements
- Experience with HW/SW integration, testing, operations support
- US Citizenship required
- Must have a Final Secret Clearance to start
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Ability to work across diverse teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
