Azure DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure operations within a large-scale Azure environment. This is a technical, hands-on role focused on Kubernetes platform engineering, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code within a CAF-aligned Azure landing zone.
Responsibilities
Core demands of this role
- Consult on environment designs for resource deployment in CLIENT preferred landing zone architecture.
- Produce critical documentation including project artifacts and internal SOPs to transition services into long-term support.
- Strategize with project managers, application development teams and other stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
- Ensure system stability, resiliency, and security - providing tier 2 / 3 support for cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in on call rotation with other cloud engineers.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Tech stack you ll help support
Platform & GitOps
- AKS cluster management (K9s, kubectl) with GitOps workflows via ArgoCD
- Terraform module authoring, state management, and Helm chart lifecycle management
- Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline development (YAML-based)
Infrastructure & Networking
- Plan, build, and run IaaS/PaaS services VMs, storage, App Services, databases, ACR
- Azure networking VNETs, NSGs, VNGs, AGWs, NVAs, SDWAN, ExpressRoute
- Operational automation via Azure Automation, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps
- Observability stack Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
Identity & Security
- Entra ID App Registrations, Enterprise Apps, service principals, MFA, SSO, PIM
- UAMI/workload identity, Key Vault + CSI driver, Azure RBAC and IAM governance
- Lifecycle governance via PowerShell, Azure Policy, Ansible
Standards & Delivery
- CAF/WAF-aligned architecture and provisioning standards
- Agile cross-functional delivery and DevOps practice adoption
- AI-assisted development tooling (Cursor, Claude Code)
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science or a related field or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of Azure experience in a large Azure environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- Certifications:
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
- Deep understanding of current Azure offerings.
- Expertise in DevOps tools and concepts on Azure Azure DevOps, GitLabs, Github, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD.
- Experience coordinating with large project teams including employees, contractors and MSPs.
- Experience in cloud database services. (Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, etc.)
- Experience managing Entra ID, Active Directory and Entra Connect.
