HVAC Copper Pipefitter
KAR & Larrabee, a well-established mechanical contractor with over 50 years in the industry, is hiring experienced Copper Pipefitters for a high-end senior living facility project in Tampa, FL.
This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale commercial project with a stable company offering consistent work and professional job sites.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC piping systems including chilled water, hot water, refrigerant, and steam
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble copper piping
- Perform brazing and soldering to join pipes
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Pressure test systems to ensure proper installation
- Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed
- Coordinate with HVAC technicians and other trades on-site
Work Environment
- Commercial construction site
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Physically demanding role including lifting, climbing, and working at heights

- Minimum 3 years of HVAC pipefitting experience
- Strong experience with copper piping (brazing required)
- Ability to read and work from blueprints
- Experience on commercial or large residential projects
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in construction environments
- Reliable transportation and basic tools
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- EPA Certification
- Journeyman Pipefitter license
- Experience with chilled water or refrigerant systems
