Job Description

Responsible for performing landscaping and grounds maintenance including but not limited to mowing, pruning, planting edging, cutting, and chemical applications.

• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance as prescribed or assigned.
• Install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance to sprinkler and irrigation systems.
• Safely and effectively operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, chainsaw, power trimmer, and other equipment used in lawn and ground maintenance.
• Safely and properly apply chemicals including but not limited to fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar position preferred. 
• Must be able to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout shift. 
• Must be able to safely and effectively operate lawn mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, power trimmers, and other equipment, chemicals, and supplies used in lawn and grounds maintenance.
• Must be able to perform duties in direct exposure to the weather which may include periods of extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather.
• Must have excellent communication skills. 
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
