SUMMARY:
To lead and direct the retail team on a daily basis with an emphasis on the customer service standards of the Main Golf Shop. This role is responsible for coaching the Retail Staff and providing a superior level of customer service.
The floor supervisor must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays. The floor supervisor will oversee responsibilities as directed by the Retail Operations Manager to include but not limited to all retail shops, assist with training and serve as a Retail MOD. This position will assist with Links Shop and Gift Shop as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of 12 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Motivate the team to achieve sales goals and celebrate successes.
• Motivate the staff to focus on servicing our customers to satisfy their customer or guest.
• Maintain a superior level of customer service and be a leader in training staff on key service points.
• Implement daily tasks for all EP’s and ensure that all tasks are complete.
• Encourage team to maintain a clean, neat and easy to shop environment.
• Be empowered to handle any customer service issues.
• Responsible for fulfillment and shipment of all call in phone orders and returns.
• Coordinate a daily break schedule so all employees are able to complete the appropriate break or meal for their scheduled shift.
• Handle any staffing/scheduling issues in the absence of the Retail Operations Manager. Make adjustments for call outs or special business needs.
• Help communicate retail strategies, events and updates to the team.
• Assist in implementing inventories for Main Golf Shop.
• Take the initiative to develop sales driving events, contests, etc. to achieve desired sales results.
• Understand sales goals and be able to provide individual goals to the department or employee.
• Monitor all needs for supplies - gift boxes, shopping bags, gift cards, cleaning supplies, etc.
• Serve as a retail MOD.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out supervisory responsibilities for the Golf Retail team in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing customer concerns and resolving problems.
