Omniboost is a company focused on providing data solutions for hotels and restaurants. As a Data Engineer, you will design and maintain data pipelines, build integrations, and support the infrastructure that powers their products, ensuring high-quality data flows for smarter decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data integration and analytics
- Build APIs and data services that connect internal systems and external partners
- Develop and optimize data models for relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring they scale as we grow
- Ensure data quality, testing, and monitoring best practices are in place to deliver value to users
- Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Redshift, and RDS to manage data infrastructure
- Participate in architectural discussions about data and ML systems, contributing curiosity and vision
- Use version control (Git) and collaborate effectively within agile teams
- Document processes and share knowledge, helping others grow and learn
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, and SQL; excited to learn new tools and languages
- Familiarity with API design and consumption
- Proficiency in Git and version control best practices
- Solid knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, etc.)
- Understanding of data modelling, database design, and integration patterns
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Awareness of data quality, testing, and monitoring best practices
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with an interest in leveraging AI for data workflows
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data or ML
- Knowledge of workflow automation/orchestration tools (e.g., n8n)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., AWS CDK)
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or an interest in applying AI tools for data workflows
