Senior Product Manager

Location: Remote (U.S & Canada)

Domain: Look for someone who worked in Finance, Private Equity Or Portfolio Analytics/Management.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Product Execution & Roadmap Discipline

Pressure-test scope vs. capacity and propose clear trade-offs

Maintain structured backlog hygiene

Ensure predictable sprint velocity

Define 'release ready' criteria for broad internal use

Drive lean, efficient, and organized sprint and release process

2. Requirements & Artifact Ownership (Critical)

Personally produce detailed PRDs and JIRA tickets

Create user flows including edge cases

Develop wireframes/mockups (low fidelity acceptable)

Define acceptance criteria and data logic

Break features into dev-ready ticket breakdowns

Clearly define requirements for application, data, AI, and business intelligence layers

Leverage Power BI's native NLP/Q&A capabilities where appropriate

Identify where custom AI/LLM layers add incremental value

Design user-facing natural language workflows

Ensure guardrails prevent misleading outputs

Balance innovation with reliability in financial insight delivery

3. Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner closely with Tech Lead (architecture & delivery)

Partner closely with Lead Portfolio Analytics (data integrity & definitions)

Establish disciplined stakeholder intake processes

Translate stakeholder feedback into prioritized roadmap themes

Prevent roadmap derailment while maintaining engagement

Develop stakeholder communication and update materials

Facilitate training and onboarding of new users

4. Resource & Capacity Assessment

Assess development and data capacity within first 30 45 days

Identify execution bottlenecks

Recommend pragmatic scope adjustments

Provide structured resource needs analysis

Job Requirement:

7 12+ years of product management experience

Experience shipping BI/analytics products

Experience shipping modern web applications

Experience working with structured data and semantic models

Strong hands-on requirements writing experience

Comfortable operating in lean, high-visibility environments

Experience navigating mixed internal + consultant teams

High EQ and collegial communication style

Strongly Preferred:

Experience with Power BI (Q&A / semantic models)

Experience integrating LLM/NLP in structured analytics environments

Experience in private equity or portfolio analytics contexts

Familiarity/experience with Finance and Accounting concepts and language

Prior consulting exposure
