Senior Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Perform material characterization using techniques such as Metallography, Optical Microscopy, SEM/EDS, Microhardness, Laser Raman Spectroscopy, and FTIR.
• Support medical device project teams with materials science analysis and testing.
• Collaborate with scientists and project teams to define and execute test plans.
• Conduct hands-on laboratory testing and analysis in a regulated environment.
• Document experiments and results using electronic laboratory notebook systems in compliance with GMP standards.
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Apply materials science principles to solve technical challenges.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Work effectively in a dynamic team environment with shifting priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 3 years of experience in materials characterization and laboratory testing.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory techniques.
• Strong understanding of materials science principles and characterization methods.
• Experience documenting laboratory work in compliance with GMP guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with biomaterials such as nitinol, stainless steel, titanium, carbon, or polyurethanes.
• Understanding of material interactions with biological systems.

Working Conditions:

• Laboratory environment with appropriate safety equipment.
• Exposure to laboratory chemicals and biological materials.
• Ability to work in seated and standing positions for extended periods.
