Overall Purpose: Strategically oversee and optimize vendor relationships and sourcing of technical products and services, ensuring alignment with organizational technology goals and SLA s (Service Level Agreements), financial impact, industry best practices, and comprehensive governance in IT, Network, and CTO environments.
This is a Vendor Management role. Candidates must possess a fouryear degree, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and have advanced communication skills. The ideal candidate will have solid contract and financial acumen and be highly effective at managing business and vendor relationships.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Vendor and Contract Management: Gather technical requirements, RFPs, identify and analyze sourcing vendors, provide financial analysis and recommendations, support contract negotiations, oversee governance, service level management, quality assurance, audit and compliance, manage vendor performance productivity, and security compliance and procedures including physical, network, and data security standards.
- Strategic Roadmap and Trends: Support strategic roadmap review, align internal technology aspects with Vendor Technology Roadmaps, review best practices, understand current and future technology trends (hardware, software, licensing, sourcing), and formulate strategies to rationalize vendors and products.
- Financial Management: Handle vendor financial management, including RFP preparation/evaluation, business case management, contract financial analysis, benchmarking, compliance, financial penalties, monthly payments/accruals, and ongoing cost-benefit analysis.
- Vendor Access and Transition Management: Oversee vendor access management, connectivity, on-boarding/off-boarding, service escalations, business continuity, disaster recovery, offshore eligibility, transition management, executive coordination, data management, reporting, and metrics.
- Technical/Organizational Consulting: Apply in-depth insights into business functions (e.g., processes, standards, technologies, systems) to cost effective viable vendor technology solutions (e.g., hardware, software, services, outsourcing).
