Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the redesign and relaunch of the NYC Secure App. This role will drive product strategy, user research, stakeholder alignment, and execution across engineering and design teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience building consumer-facing applications, defining product roadmaps, and ensuring data privacy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for the NYC Secure App
- Plan phased releases including beta, 311 integration, and full rollout
- Requirements & Execution
- Create detailed functional and technical specifications
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams for delivery
- User-Centered Design
- Lead accessibility-focused research, especially for elderly and immigrant users
- Translate insights into inclusive product features
- KPI & Metrics
- Define and track success metrics (e.g., scam detection accuracy, adoption, engagement)
- Stakeholder Management
- Work with 311 teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Align product features with operational workflows
- Integration & Technical Oversight
- Drive integration with NYC.gov ecosystem
- Ensure scalable and efficient system architecture
- Privacy & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, governance, and security standards
- Risk Management
- Identify risks and proactively mitigate delivery challenges
Required Skills
- 10 12+ years of Product Management or Technical Leadership experience
- Proven experience building and launching web/mobile applications
- Strong background in user-centered design (UCD)
- Experience defining product requirements, KPIs, and roadmaps
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data privacy, governance, or security-focused products
- Background in consumer-facing or public-sector applications
- Experience working with large-scale platforms or integrations
