
As a Credit Decisioning Unit (CDU) Sr Associate within the CCB Business Banking organization, you will conduct complex credit analyses, analyze and organized performance data, and help define underwriting and policy frameworks aligned with the firm’s risk appetite and financial objectives. You will collaborate with key partners to balance growth and profitability while ensuring strong governance, controls, and regulatory compliance at JPMorgan Chase.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead comprehensive analytics to measure and challenge key business initiatives and be able to independently generate solutions
• Provide thought leadership and lead initiatives end to end, including defining problem statements, identifying risks and opportunities, securing stakeholder buy-in, and bringing ideas to life
• Work independently and in teams to identify and assess performance trends, utilizing both statistical and data mining tools and quantitative methodologies
• Prepare and present detailed performance monitoring reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of findings
• Conduct data mining and apply mathematical and statistical theory and tools to monitor internal and external behavioral data and analyze the performance and profitability of existing strategies using randomized test/control setup
• Design metrics to track performance of initiatives against expectations, as well as provide business insights based on analytic findings to further develop the firm’s risk appetite framework
• Evaluate emerging risk trends across the credit lifecycle
• Create and execute a consistent framework to assess loss and profitability dynamics associated with credit decisions for evaluation of adherence to the firm’s risk appetite
• Summarize and communicate findings to influence leaders using methods that are both detailed as well as understandable by uniformed audiences
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
• Ability to logically structure and execute analyses using strong analytic, interpretive and problem solving skills
• Ability to translate complex analysis into practical solutions and create concise presentations with sound business conclusions
• A master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (ex: Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, among others) with 3+ years analytics experience or 5+ years of analytics experience
• Possess the drive to succeed, be results oriented, have high attention to detail, and independently make decisions
• Previous experience with either SAS, SQL, Python, or Tableau analytic tools (other coding languages would be considered)

• Knowledge of business banking lending
