Cypress HCM is seeking a highly analytical Platform Product Manager (Analytics and Operations) to help shape, deliver, and continuously improve platform capabilities. This role focuses on product strategy, analytics, and operational excellence, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business, engineering, and operations stakeholders to flush out requirements, clarify outcomes, and align on priorities for platform capabilities
- Translate ambiguous or complex asks into clear problem statements, requirements, and success criteria that teams can confidently operationalize
- Ensure platform capabilities are designed to integrate smoothly into existing operational workflows, support models, and downstream processes
- Define expectations for operational readiness, measurement, and ongoing evaluation once capabilities are in use
- Analyze platform usage, operational data, and qualitative feedback to assess adoption, effectiveness, and gaps
- Develop and maintain clear metrics, dashboards, and analyses that provide visibility into platform health and support informed decision-making
- Use analytics and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate synthesis, surface trends, and generate actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership
- Examine how product and operational decisions are made and recommend improvements based on data, feedback, and observed friction points
- Challenge assumptions and drive clarity by asking thoughtful, evidence-based questions that improve outcomes
- Leverage modern, AI-assisted ways of working to improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of analysis, requirements, and stakeholder communication
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into clear insights and recommendations
- Proven ability to flush out requirements, clarify ambiguous asks, and translate stakeholder needs into well-defined problem statements and success criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing and aligning stakeholders across business, engineering, and operations
- Comfort using analytics, automation, and AI-assisted tooling to improve research, analysis, documentation, and communication
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining clarity, prioritization, and attention to detail
- Willingness to ask hard questions, challenge assumptions, and advocate for better outcomes based on data and evidence
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a product management, product analyst, or similar role with a strong emphasis on analytics, requirements shaping, and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across business, engineering, and operations to flush out requirements, clarify outcomes, and operationalize capabilities
- Strong experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions and recommendations
- Comfort using analytics, automation, and AI-assisted tools as part of everyday workflows to improve research, synthesis, and communication
- Experience supporting platform products or shared capabilities in an enterprise environment
- Experience building or maintaining dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or similar reporting solutions
- Background in process design, operational improvement, or scaling product practices across teams
