Nerdio is a company dedicated to simplifying IT professionals' lives by maximizing Microsoft cloud investments. They are seeking an M365 Sales Engineer who will leverage their expertise in Microsoft 365 to support MSP partners by delivering technical presentations and optimizing licensing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the technical requirements within an opportunity and accelerate the sales cycle by positioning and demonstrating Nerdio's value across the M365 stack
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and demos — remotely and at field events — focused on M365 management, security, licensing optimization, and automation via Nerdio Manager
- Partner with sales managers to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals involving M365 migration, modernization, and managed service expansion
- Successfully match customer pain points and requirements to proposed M365-centric solutions, including Copilot readiness, Intune/endpoint management, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Support sales managers in developing the financial business case (ROI/TCO) tied to M365 licensing efficiency, automation savings, and operational overhead reduction
- Serve as the voice of the partner back to the product and engineering teams, communicating M365-specific gaps, enhancement requests, and competitive intelligence
- Stay current on Microsoft's evolving M365 roadmap — including Copilot, Security & Compliance, and licensing changes — and translate that into actionable partner guidance
- Collect and document competitive intelligence across the M365 management and MSP tooling landscape
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5+ years of experience in a sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior MSP technical role with a focus on Microsoft 365
- Deep technical knowledge of the M365 platform, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Entra ID (Azure AD), Defender for Business, and Purview
- Strong understanding of M365 licensing models (Business, Enterprise, Frontline, Add-ons) and the ability to build compelling licensing optimization narratives for MSPs and their end customers
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for M365 — including readiness requirements, use case positioning, and partner go-to-market motions
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver technical demos and POV engagements to both technical administrators and business decision-makers
- Solid understanding of MSP operational models, including PSA/RMM tooling, multi-tenant management, and managed service delivery at scale
- Experience with Microsoft security and compliance tooling (Defender, Conditional Access, DLP, MFA/passwordless) and the ability to position these within a managed services context
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess partner and end-customer requirements and recommend appropriate M365 solutions
- Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with MSP partner stakeholders — from help desk technicians to C-suite decision-makers
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and sales enablement tools
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive in staying current on Microsoft product updates, licensing changes, and industry trends
- Implementation of MEDDPICC principles to accelerate the technical validation process
- Microsoft certifications preferred: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MS-500 (Security Administrator), MS-700 (Teams Administrator), or equivalent
