Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced GIS Analytics Developer to support moderately complex analytics initiatives with a primary focus on GIS, ArcGIS/Esri technologies, and Python development. This contingent assignment involves building map-based applications and dashboards that support weather and incident management, corporate security, and property data. The role collaborates closely with Analytics stakeholders to design, analyze, and deliver data-driven solutions.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced GIS Analytics Developer to support moderately complex analytics initiatives with a primary focus on GIS, ArcGIS/Esri technologies, and Python development. This contingent assignment involves building map-based applications and dashboards that support weather and incident management, corporate security, and property data. The role collaborates closely with Analytics stakeholders to design, analyze, and deliver data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on and contribute to moderately complex analytics initiatives with a focus on GIS and Python-based development
- Design, develop, and maintain map applications and dashboards using Esri ArcGIS Server
- Analyze spatial, technical, and data-driven challenges to support analytics deliverables
- Build and enhance dashboards and visualizations for operational and decision-support use cases
- Collaborate with analytics team members and business stakeholders to meet project objectives
- Apply analytics best practices, policies, and compliance requirements throughout development
- Support large-scale planning activities related to Analytics deliverables
- 4+ years of analytics experience with demonstrated hands-on expertise in GIS and Python
- Experience may be demonstrated through a combination of work experience, consulting, education, training, or military service
- Strong understanding of analytics methodologies, data analysis, and spatial data concepts
- GIS (Global Information Systems) - 4-6 years
- ArcGIS / Esri platform - hands-on development experience
- Python - 2-4 years
- Tableau Dashboard Development - 2-4 years
- Microsoft SQL - 2-4 years
- Power BI development experience
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- West Des Moines, IA
- Also open to candidates based in Charlotte, NC
- Duration: 12 months with potential for extension or conversion
