What You'll Do:

- Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and long‑term maintenance work, including outage planning
- Review, develop, and prioritize maintenance work orders for accuracy, scope, and readiness
- Create job plans detailing labor, materials, tools, and sequencing
- Estimate labor and material costs and monitor work order and purchase order spending
- Coordinate material availability with warehouse and Materials Department
- Maintain and manage maintenance backlog and preventive maintenance plans
- Develop and distribute daily and weekly work schedules; attend scheduling meetings
- Serve as the primary liaison for maintenance activities and coordinate with associated crafts
- Support safety planning by identifying required precautions, PPE, and compliance requirements
- Ensure all work complies with company, state, and federal safety and regulatory standards
- Track completed work and maintain accurate work order history
- Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling, preferably in an industrial environment
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft tools (Microsoft Project preferred)
- Knowledge of safety procedures, maintenance workflows, and cost controls
What You'll Bring:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Internal candidates must have completed the Planner PreVue test and completed the Planner Oracle training, at minimum
- 5 years of experience in Mechanical or I E work (prefer mechanical or I E experience in a chemical plant or mine)
- Technical degree or trade school certification is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Knowledge of the Advantis planner level system, equipment management system, materials management procedures, and purchasing procedures
- Ability to properly use parts books, manuals, blueprints, etc
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of all processing methods and equipment related to area of responsibility
- Proficiency in the use of various software products including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, project management, and CMMS Systems
- Ability to determine tasks, tasks sequencing, equipment capabilities, estimating man-hours for each task, material estimated and cost estimate for any maintenance activity in their area of responsibility
