What you'll do: You'll be responsible for distributing client’s medication from filled prescriptions and assisting in the overall operation of the medication room. Other functions include:
- Administer medications and document as ordered.
- Maintain security of medication room.
- Return outdated medication to pharmacy and keep log books updated.
- Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules.
Education and experience requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a required certified medication aide training course.
- Must successfully pass state medication aide exam or possess current LVN license in the state of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
