Machine Learning Engineer (m/w/d)

eschbach is a forward-thinking SaaS company serving the chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, focusing on DevOps excellence and high-quality cloud-native solutions. They are seeking a motivated Machine Learning Engineer to bring machine learning models into production and enable scalable, high-quality solutions across their platform.

Responsibilities:

• Implement machine learning models as scalable backend services following our development and security guidelines
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to bring models from concept to production
• Continuously improve and optimize machine learning models in production
• Translate customer requirements into effective and scalable ML solutions
• Design and implement secure APIs and backend components
• Develop and maintain data access layers (e.g. MS SQL, Elasticsearch)
• Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and security
• Contribute to technical specifications and architecture decisions

Requirements:

• +5 years of experience in Python and backend development (e.g. APIs, services)
• Experience with machine learning models and their production deployment
• Knowledge of MS SQL and working with large datasets
• Experience with microservices and container-based architectures
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and data structures
• Basic understanding of software security
• Experience with C# is a plus
• Team-oriented and comfortable working across disciplines (Data Science, Dev, Product)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
• Hands-on, proactive, and solution-driven
• Passion for building scalable and high-quality software
