About the Role:
AaraTech Inc is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst Banking to support the security of banking and card services applications. This role focuses on monitoring threats, securing payment systems, and ensuring compliance with financial security standards. You will work closely with IT, QA, and development teams in an Agile environment. Ideal for early-career cybersecurity professionals with exposure to financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities
- Analyze and respond to security incidents in banking applications
- Perform vulnerability assessments on payment and card systems
- Support security testing for transaction workflows and APIs
- Review logs from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in implementing security controls (firewalls, endpoint protection)
- Support compliance with banking security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS)
- Document incidents, risks, and mitigation steps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system security
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Knowledge of security principles and common threats (malware, phishing, etc.)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools or security monitoring tools
- Understanding of SDLC and secure development practices
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
