Description: Title: CMMC Remediation ConsultantType: Contract - 3+ MonthsLocation: Cambridge, MA - HybridJob Summary:We are seeking an IT Compliance Remediation Specialist to support vulnerability remediation, compliance enforcement, and endpoint security and functionality improvements across enterprise environments. This role is hands-on and focused primarily on Microsoft Windows endpoints, with additional support for macOS and Ubuntu Linux devices. The position partners closely with Information Security and IT Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee endpoint patching and remediation for operating systems and third-party applications
- Support endpoint management technologies and improve system usability and user experience
- Test, deploy, and maintain Windows images; assist with macOS and Linux imaging and configuration
- Create, manage, and deploy Group Policies, configuration profiles, and software packages
- Perform vulnerability management and remediation in alignment with security baselines
- Provide L3 desktop and endpoint support and conduct root cause analysis
- Generate operational reports related to hardware/software inventory, licensing, and CMDB data
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Required Skills and Experience:- Strong experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune, JAMF, SCCM, Ansible Tower, and Active Directory/Azure AD
- Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Batch, or similar)
- Experience in enterprise endpoint management, imaging, and application packaging
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:- 3-5 years of system administration experience in an enterprise environment
- Experience with DoD compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, SP 800-53, CMMC, DFARS, or NISP
- Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- ITIL v4 certification a plus
Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
