JOB SUMMARY
The School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a strategic and forward‑thinking Financial Analysis Lead to support Financial Affairs Management within OSPH. This role assists and reports to the Director of Finance with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across the school. This role is ideal for a collaborative financial leader who thrives in a dynamic academic environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence and long‑term financial sustainability. This is an individual contributor role. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial leadership and support across all OSPH departments.
- Lead the development, review, and analysis of financial projections, identifying risks and presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and oversee capital projects from proposal through implementation.
- Direct and manage performance evaluation processes for departments or teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and recommend strategies to achieve financial objectives and strengthen financial performance.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on financial and compliance matters, assessing business processes and recommending improvements to enhance operational impact.
- Prepare and deliver complex financial reports to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree In finance, accounting, or related field or
- Experience
6 years Experience in finance with demonstration in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis, plus analytical ability to understand complex financial activities of healthcare initiatives (or research initiatives depending on department needs).
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
JOB DUTIES
- Provides financial support for all areas of department.
- Reviews and plan for various financial projections within team. Identifies areas of financial risk, present findings, and makes recommendations to management.
- Plans, leads, coordinates, and manages budgeting and forecasting activities. Evaluates, prioritizes, assigns and implements capital projects.
- Manages, directs and plans evaluation of departments or team's financial performance. Develops and recommends actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Provides strategic consultation and guidance to management on financial or compliance issues, evaluates business processes and creates recommendations for optimizing impact on business initiatives.
- Performs financial analysis on various projects. Accesses and utilizes financial data from various data sources.
- Develops and manages work plans to meet target dates and deliverables.
- Completes complex projects as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
