TechPlusHire is seeking a technically driven Application Services Engineer responsible for application deployment, configuration, upgrades, and operational support across AWS and customer-hosted environments. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring reliable deployments, troubleshooting issues, and improving automation and operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade enterprise applications in cloud and on-prem environments
- Execute deployments following agile methodologies and runbooks
- Perform post-deployment validation and environment health checks
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployments and upgrades
- Monitor application environments and resolve performance or availability issues
- Troubleshoot application, middleware, and configuration problems
- Support automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Infrastructure teams
- Participate in off-hours or weekend deployment activities when required
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
- Document runbooks, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Participate in incident reviews and corrective actions
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in application support, deployment engineering, systems administration, or similar roles
- Experience with application installation, configuration, and support
- Basic to intermediate Linux skills and command-line experience
- Familiarity with SQL or relational databases (SQL Server, PL/SQL, etc.)
- Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding or willingness to work in HIPAA/compliance environments
- Experience with J2EE middleware such as WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss
- Experience working with AWS environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Healthcare or payer domain experience
